Meeman 901 Strategies began in the spring of 2014 at the University of Memphis Department of Journalism and Strategic Media to give students a chance to gain practical experience.
Our prestigious client base includes Memphis Light, Gas and Water, the American Heart Association Memphis, and University of Memphis ROTC services, the FedEx Institute of Technology (FIT), Nerd Nite Memphis, and OUTMemphis. In addition, Meeman 901 has aided various on-campus startups through a partnership with the Crews Center for Entrepreneurship.
In fall 2015, the Journalism and Strategic Media Department began offering course credit for students desiring to work for Meeman 901 Strategies. This dynamic of the firm offers students experiential learning alternatives to regular classes and ensures the longevity of the firm. Students can now participate in firm activities and hone skills like graphic design, public relations, advertising, copywriting, copy editing, media relations, social media, and project management.
