The Grammys become the Shammys

This year’s Grammy Awards were filled with fun and festivities. The night saw many wins and several tributes to the late Kobe Bryant . However, the historic award ceremony didn’t go without controversy.

Fans Strike Back

There were a lot of fans that weren’t happy with the Academy for presenting Eilish with so many awards. Some of their reactions can be found in this article from Newsweek.

Several of the singers who were nominated in the same categories as Eilish supported the singer. When Eilish gave her acceptance speech for Album of the Year, she said “Can I just say that I think Ariana deserves this.” Ariana Grande responded by swaying her hands to give Eilish her spotlight.

Stream Thank U, Next

It seems that what Eilish really wants us to do is stream Grande’s reputable album Thank U, Next. But overall, everybody seems to agree that Eilish deserved her nominations. What do you think? Comment below!
