4 Meme-worthy Shows and Movies on Netflix

1. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018)

This Coen Brothers film did not get nearly enough love and recognition that it deserves. Broken-up into six dynamic short stories, each one centers around the theme of untimely human mortality. With major replay value, this brilliant Western is not short on memorable tragedies and witty one-liners.
2. Trailer Park Boys (2014 – 18)

Trailer Park Boys is a quintessential internet favorite with a cult-like following. The Canadian documentary-style series follows a trio of odd friends living their day to day in Sunnyvale Trailer Park as they devise their next big scam. Make no mistake, this tv show is far from trashy. Its ridiculously dead-pan humor and loveable (or hateable) character’s quotes stick with you long after the show’s end.
3. Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)

The British sci-fi series, Black Mirror, stepped-up its game with its interactive psycho-thriller film, Bandersnatch. Ahead of its time, the story revolves around a 1980’s program developer creating a choose-your-own-adventure game that you, the viewer, controls. While the film itself is full of dark twists, it has provided plenty of humorous substance for the internet to lampoon.
4. Bird Box (2018)

This list would not be complete if I didn’t include the phenomenon that is Bird Box. The film was a smash and quickly became one of the most watched Netflix movies of all time. Not only was the film a success, it instantly became a viral meme. On social media, the Bird Box Challenge trend swept the internet with participants performing (sometimes dangerous) tasks blindfolded. Undoubtedly, this apocalyptic thriller has produced a plethora of content ripe for parody.
