Work Made Easier: Programs for Professionals & Students

With technology, social media and entrepreneurship constantly growing, there are a number of programs and apps for professionals and students alike to help make work easier and more efficient- check out our three favorite below:

Trello makes sharing content between individuals and collaborating on projects simple, a headache-saver for teams of any size. Information is easily accessible making the platform quick and easy to use and the internal team-building options keep companies organized. Trello also allows users to integrate the apps they already use into Trello (i.e. Twitter). Lastly, Trello syncs across all your devices whether it be on the app on your phone or website on your computer, and don't worry if your business is mostly a one-man show, you can still take advantage of Trello's awesome organization and planning features.

Instead of trying to communicate with a team through scattered notes and lost emails, Basecamp makes it easier than ever to communicate and collaborate. According to the Basecamp website, Basecamp keeps things “organized, centralized, and clear so everyone knows what to do, everyone knows where things stand, and everyone can get what they need without having to ask around all the time.” Basecamp features 6 key tools which includes a to-do list, a message board, a chat room, a schedule for deadlines, a place to organize files and automatic check-ins to get insight from the team.

Like the previous programs, Slack is team communication for the 21st century. Slack opens channels to discuss ideas among members of your team. Slack also allows you to make video and phone calls through their website to have direct communication and interaction with your team. All your tools are in one place, keeping your workflow practical and productive. Lastly, Slack archives your interactions so team members will be able to go back and refer to previous conversations or projects.

Trello, Basecamp and Slack are three programs that allow work to be more efficient and effective among team members or company wide products. Check them out and comment below any other programs you may find helpful!
